As the demand for non-surgical treatments continues to grow, body contouring technology continues to evolve. Radio Frequency is widely accepted as the strongest skin tightening technology and arguably the best facial skin tightening technology.

While many people know about Radio Frequency, most are oblivious to the differences between different RF technologies and which is most effective.

Introducing Monopolar RF

With Monopolar RF, the current from the generating machine flows through the body from a single electrode and meets maximum resistance in the area around the tip of the handpiece.

The current traverses through ALL skin layers after entering the skin. As a result, with Monopolar RF, we can treat the skin surface, the middle skin layer, the deepest skin layer, and even the subcutaneous fat deposits below the skin itself.

How the process works

Over time, the body slows down the production of collagen as people age. This loss of collagen can lead to a saggy dermis and can even produce wrinkles.

Radio Frequency induces tissue re-modeling and new collagen and elastin production by targeting the skin’s underlying structure with Radio Frequency energy.

The local heating causes an immediate contraction of collagen fibers and, at the same time, increases the metabolism of the fibroblasts, thereby accelerating the production of new collagen and elastin fibers.

The concentration of collagen fibers and the regeneration of the collagen and elastin deposits tighten the skin layers, creating smoother, healthier, and younger-looking skin. This safe and relaxing process provides an alternative to facelifts and other cosmetic surgeries.

How to use Monopolar RF skin tightening machines

The first step is to attach the conductive pad to the client. The pad should be close to the treatment area, preferably positioned on the opposite side of the body.

Configure the machine settings and apply RF cream to the treatment area. You can also use ultrasound gel.

Start the treatment. Use the handheld probe to heat the target area. Studies have found that maintaining a temperature over 115°F (46°C) for a minimum of 3 minutes is needed to cause the body to release heat-shock proteins.

These proteins stimulate the body to create new collagen fibers. Always keep the handheld probe in motion and never stop the movement on the clients’ skin.

The Skin Tightening process is repeated up to three times a week for at least two months. It is essential to consult your machine operation manual as RF Skin Tightening Machines do vary.
